Player Of The Year So Far Sorel Mizzi For Poker
So far in 2010 Sorel Mizzi has had a fantastic year, finishing inside top ten in 12 tournaments. He is currently leading the leader board because he has also won 4 tournaments so far this year. Compare to last year this is a huge improvement because he finished 174th and in 2008 he finished in 91st. So he does seem to be doing very well this year. He also enjoys playing rakeback deals time to time.
Sorel Mizzi is in the lead currently with 1,298.07 poy points. With 773.57 points, it is Thomas Marches in the second place. In third it is Juan Carlos Mortersen behind Thomas with 758.55 poy points. Not far behind is Shawn Buchanan with 699.83 points.
With 698.90 points Samuel Stein is in fifth position in the leader board. With 693.55 points Frank Kassela is in sixth. In seventh Daniel Shak is sitting comfortable with.08. Jason Mercier was last years player of the year and this year he is struggling a bit in 8th with 652.05 points. He has still had a very good season but he might not win the player of the year title this year as he is quite a bit away. Daniel Alaei finished sixth last year and still is in the hunt to finish in top 5 this year currently ninth with 627.30 points. In tenth position with 595.63 points it’s Chris Bell. Then in eleventh it is Mike Beasley with 579.18 points.
Sorel Mizzi is certainly the biggest surprise of this year. He has taken the leader board by a storm and noone expected this from him. Many underestimated Mizzi after his poor season last year but this year he has proved he is here to stay for a long time.
I am looking forward to few pokerstars rakeback and a full tilt rakeback online tournaments and see if I finish in any leader board. One can always dream.
